About Uneetee
Uneetee have tried lots of novel concepts to sell shirts, which can be a little confusing at first, but I like the experimental nature of the site. They also very transparently reveal artist earnings which is really great. Uneetee means “One Tee”. The word “unee” is a play on the prefix “uni”, which means “one”.
I thought they used to do one day, one shirt but it now seems they are doing two a week announced every Monday, one featured artist shirt and one vote winner. The prize for the weekly winner is a competitive $1500, as its a design contest of course you get to pick who that winner is by voting.
Shirts: Unless on daily special the shirts are usually $21.99 before sales.
Shipping: Domestically its $3.98 for the first shirt and $1.97 for each additional shirt. Internationally flat rate of $7.95 for the first and $2.94 for each additional.

Unitee has a large catalog of shirts submitted by aritsts for the weekly $1500 design contest. The contest winning shirt is offered for a discounted price ($12) for the week. Price of other shirts seems to depend on the complexity of the design, typically $19-$25. They also do a daily “Insaneetee” deal where they sell a random shirt from their collection for $10, so if you have a few shirts that you want to get, you may want to check daily to see if one of them is offered for $10. You can also get a “Mystery” shirt for $6. I got “Overgrown” (http://www.uneetee.com/category/productInfo.asp?idx=187) which, considering I ordered a few weeks before Halloween, is decent for $6.
Shirts are printed on American Apparel all cotton blanks. I will echo what other reviewers here have said in that the ink used on the shirts seems thicker than normal, almost to the point of being scratchy. But perhaps it will stand up to washings better.
I ordered enough to get the free shipping deal (over $60). The shirts shipped via USPS Priority mail, and arrived in a plastic bag envelope. There was a hole in the bag, but the shirts seemed fine. One big complaint about their shipping is that the processing is very slow. It was a full week before my online order status changed from “processing” to “shipped”. Of all the shirt sites I have used recently, their shipping/processing is by far the slowest. The only email I received fromm them was for the receipt and the order placement. I did not receive a “your order has shipped” email, so it’s a good thing I could check order status online.
Large selection of nice designs. Customer service is great – I e-mailed them very late at night to change an order and I got a response within an hour. Be aware that some designs can be very heavily inked. I personally would avoid light-on-dark designs because I don’t like the thick ink.
Uneetee has a pretty nice selection of tees, and their insanitee deal is great. They do a good job of printing and the ink doesn’t fade. I love their customer service. They are very responsive to your concerns. One problem I had is that one time I ordered a shirt and no one ever contacted me or anything when they just decided not to ship my tee. I paid for it and all, but they ran into a problem with my address (although valid) and I was not informed of anything. They kept me waiting for a really long time to the point that I contacted them to see what was going on.
Uneetee is a nice t-shirt community with a broad catalog, there are just a few small problems with it. The catalog has a large amount of shirts, but limited sizing for the most of them. In addition, they only add about one shirt weekly to the catalog. On the upswing, they have the daily insaneetee, which is at a very reasonable price. The pricing on the shipping does seem a bit large, but is not terrible.
The shirts are printed on American Apparel which makes for a nice fit and feel. Some shirts are heavy or feel awkward because of the amount of ink used instead of discharge, but most of them are normal.
In summary, you should check out the daily insaneetee and weekly presale for great prices on nice shirts.
