About Endangered Wear
Endangered Wear is one of the most transparent T-Shirt brands around. Unlike other T-Shirt brands that claim to print “limited edition” edition T-Shirts, Endangered Wear, actually tells you just how limited each tee at their online store is. You’ll find that all of their T-Shirts are numbered with exactly how many of that particular design was printed and you can see a live counter on each product page that indicates how much of each design is available and in each size. The number of printed made for each design varies and can range from 25 prints to 300 prints. They offer a hodge-podge of different styles that will appeal to nearly anyone willing to express themselves with a limited edition T-Shirt.
Shirts: All Endangered Wear tees are printed on American Apparel blanks and prices start at $22.95.
Shipping: In the United States, shipping is $4.95 for the first item and $1.25 for each additional item. Shipping to Canada is 9.00 for the first item and 1.00 for each additional item.

Endangered Wear takes an interesting spin on the “limited edition shirt” concept. Each shirt is limited to a certain number of prints, typically 50-100. Plus, each shirt is numbered on the back like “13 of 50″ so probably nobody else in your town has the same shirt. (Hint: If you want to try to get the first print of a given shirt, order Large. I ordered two Larges of newer designs and managed to get “1 of 50″ on each. Or maybe they lie and everybody’s shirt says “1 of 50″?)
There are about 30 designs available, although some of those are out of certain sizes due to the limited print run. You can also sign up as a “member” of their site (for free) to access a few “members only” designs. Shirts are printed on American Apparel blanks and are all cotton. The shirts are a little pricey at $23, but they are printed front (the design) and back (the “13 of 50″ indication).
Shipping cost is based on the size of the order. My shirts arrived via USPS First class in a paper bag envelope. Shipping was $6.20 for two shirts. I received plenty of email notifications (ordered, receipt, shipped), but you can also go to their site to see the status of the order.
Their “news” link is updated infrequently. They do allow artists to submit t-shirt designs, but there’s no indication as to when new designs will be released on the site.
Sign up at the site as a member to buy the newest designs at a cheaper price. When I placed my order, it looked as though the submission didn’t go through so I e-mailed customer service. I never got an e-mail reply but my shirt showed up within a week. I’m really really happy with the shirt. The printing was awesome, super soft to the touch and details showed up great. They don’t have the largest selection, but it’s nice to know you won’t bump into anyone with the exact same shirt.
