About Arteefact
Arteefact is a new t-shirt company based in Athens, Greece. They are unique in that they eschew traditional screenprinting and direct-to-garment printing in favor of vinyl transfers. As such, Arteefact keeps no stock and makes their shirts to order. The designs are made to accommodate the limitations of vinyl printing — all of them are 1-3 color vector graphics. I’m actually pretty impressed by the vast majority of them, which include a lot of geometric, sci-fi, and modern art elements. The look of the website is great as well, and it matches the overall style of their tees.
Some of you may still be skeptical at the phrase “vinyl transfers”, and honestly I can’t blame you — in this reviewer’s humble opinion, the material doesn’t really work well on t-shirts since it doesn’t allow the garment to breathe. In larger pieces, it crinkles and feels a tad uncomfortable. However, if you like an Arteefact design, I certainly wouldn’t dissuade you from ordering a shirt — vinyl is by no means a horrible printing method (it’s definitely preferable to those crappy heat transfers), just not one I prefer.

A beautiful website and slick minimalist graphic design are the main highlights here. However, the high prices combined with vinyl printing are turn-offs.
Just bought my first four t-shirts from these guys. it took about a week for my package to arrive, but it was worth it. Strangely though, they use quite a thin vinyl, it’s not as heavy as i expected. I liked the personalized service they offer, a personal e-mail when I placed my order and another one when my order were shipped.
